TEAM TTO has been assured of a gold medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. Twelve years after their second place finish at the 2008 Beijing Games, sprinters Richard Thompson, Marc Burns, Emmanuel Callender and Keston Bledman will receive their 4x100m relay gold.

THE one-year countdown to the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 was celebrated, on Friday evening, at the residence of Japanese ambassador Tatsuo Hirayama, in St Clair. TT Olympic Committee (TTOC) president Brian Lewis also confirmed preparations are well under way and Team TTO will be based in the town of Osaki for a pre-Games training camp.

Rugby sevens’ Olympic qualification pathway for Tokyo 2020 has today been confirmed by the International Olympic Committee and World Rugby.

TOKYO: A heatwave in Japan that has killed more than a dozen people is reviving concerns about the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which will be held during the country´s notoriously sweltering summer.

The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC), BPTT along with Michael Johnson Performance (MJP) elite high performance partnership will continue to assist TeamTTO athletes and their coaches. Since 2012, the BPTT /MJP/TTOC athlete-centred and athlete-focused partnership approach has provided performance support for T&T's elite level Olympic athletes.

THE DECISION MARKS A KEY MILESTONE IN THE EVOLUTION OF THE OLYMPIC PROGRAMME BY INTRODUCING YOUTH AND URBAN INNOVATIONS, SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVING GENDER EQUALITY, AND REDUCING THE OVERALL NUMBER OF ATHLETES HENCE REDUCING THE GAMES’ FOOTPRINT.

The Olympic Flag today landed at Tokyo's Haneda airport, after having travelled more than 18,000 km between the Olympic city of Rio and the Japanese capital. The flag was handed over by Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes to Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike at the closing ceremony of the Rio 2016 Games on August 21st at the Maracanã Stadium.

Just one day after the arrival of the Olympic flag in the Japanese capital, the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee today paid tribute to the Paralympic Movement by marking the four-year countdown to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
