On Tuesday December 15th 2015, the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) received the first payment towards the 10 or more Olympic gold medals Athlete Welfare and Preparation Fund from the National Lotteries and Control Board (NLCB) at Olympic House.

NLCB Instant Lottery Games Supervisor, Candy West presented TTOC President, Brian Lewis with a cheque for $50,000 dollars representing the first installation based on sales of the ‘Going for Gold’ scratch game.

In July this year, NLCB and the TTOC unveiled a landmark partnership with the launch of “Going for Gold”, a new scratch game aimed at raising funds for Trinidad and Tobago’s Olympic athletes.

The TTOC President said that the TTOC is deeply appreciative of its partnership with NLCB and the support for local Sportsmen and Sportswomen.

“The introduction of the game is a new concept and the TTOC will do its part to support NLCB in the promotion of the game. Our strategic marketing plan is very social and digital media oriented. With next year being an Olympic year, the publics support for the game is important as our athletes need the support”, said the TTOC President.
