SARA WOLLASTON whipped the field to win the Girls Under-20 100-metre final yesterday evening, as the Tobago House of Assembly (THA)/National Gas Company (NGC)/ NAAA Junior Championships began at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.

Wollaston, the American-based runner, crossed the finish line in 12.04 seconds, ahead of Skikyla Walcott of Simplex (12.14) and Jada Barker of Cougars (12.26).

However, Wollaston’s training partner, the highly-rated Khalifa St Fort, did not compete in the semi-finals despite having the fastest time in the first round (11.53 in heat two).

According to a report on C News last night, St Fort was suffering with a leg injury and hence opted out of the semis.

Other Winners (clubs in brackets) - Girls Under-20 javelin: Akidah Briggs (Toco Titans) 38.98 metres.

Boys Under-20 shot put: Isaiah Taylor (Abilene) 15.24m.

Girls Under-16 long jump: Safiya John (Kaizen Panthers) 5.48m.

Girls Under-18 long jump: Anya Akili (Kaizen Panthers) 5.32m.

Boys Under-16 discus: Christopher Crawford (Falcons) 43.31m.

Boys Under-18 discus: Clarence Hannibal (Falcons) 50.63m.

Girls Under-16 100m hurdles: Rae-Ann Serville (Memphis Pioneers) 15.49 seconds.
