T&T’s World Youth Olympic silver and bronze medal swimmer Dylan Carter has joined Olympic bronze medallist George Bovell (50m freestyle) on the national swimming team for the Rio Olympic Games.
Michael Phelps is set to become the first American male swimmer to compete at five Olympic Games after triumphing in the men’s 200 metres butterfly at the United States Olympic Trials in Omaha.
The T&T senior women won gold at the Central American and Caribbean Amateur Swimming Confederation (CCCAN) Championship with a 9-5 defeat of Guatemala for a 3-0 record in the two-team event at the Guatemala National Swimming Pool, Guatemala City, on Friday.
After attending rehab, the swimmer is not fixated on adding to his record total of Olympic medals in Rio. The journey now is personal.
