On 24 July 1976, Hasely Crawford sprinted into history by winning the Men's 100 metres at the Olympic Games in Montreal, Canada, becoming Trinidad and Tobago's First Olympic Gold Medallist. In 10.06 seconds, he did more than win a race, he gave an entire nation a reason to believe that greatness knows no boundaries.
Today, the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) proudly joins the people of Trinidad and Tobago, the sporting fraternity, and the global Olympic Movement in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of this remarkable achievement.
