The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and loved ones of Mr. Sean Roach, Chief Executive Officer of Langston Roach Industries Limited, who passed away on this morning at the age of 46.
The TTOC mourns the loss of a friend and longstanding supporter whose connection to Trinidad and Tobago sport extended across many years.
From the inception of his involvement with the TTOC, Sean supported the Committee's events and initiatives and was a valued partner in efforts to advance and celebrate Trinidad and Tobago's athletes. His support reflected a genuine appreciation for the role sport plays in the development and inspiration of the nation.
Sean's contribution to sport also included his role as manager of Trinidad and Tobago's Olympic and sporting hero, Keshorn Walcott. In that capacity, he played an important part in supporting Walcott's career and journey on the international stage.
TTOC President Diane Henderson expressed her sadness at Sean's passing.
“Sean was a friend of the TTOC and someone who consistently showed his support for our athletes and our initiatives. He believed in what sport could do for Trinidad and Tobago, and he was always willing to lend his support. His relationship with Keshorn and the role he played in his career further demonstrated his dedication to our athletes. We are deeply saddened by his passing and will remember him with great appreciation.”
Sean's relationship with the TTOC extended beyond individual events. Over the years, he stood alongside the Committee at various initiatives, helping to strengthen the partnerships that are essential to supporting athletes and the wider sporting community.
Born on March 6, 1980, Sean also made his mark in Trinidad and Tobago's business community. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) from 2020 until his resignation in January 2025 and continued the leadership of the family business as Chief Executive Officer of Langston Roach Industries Limited.
His passing at the age of 46 is a profound loss to his family, friends, colleagues, the business community and the sporting fraternity.
The TTOC extends its heartfelt condolences to the Roach family, Keshorn Walcott and all those who shared a relationship with Sean.
The Committee is grateful for the years of friendship and support and for the contribution Sean made to Trinidad and Tobago sport.
May he rest in peace, and may his family find strength and comfort during this difficult time.
